Ok so this might be a marketing hint and a tech tip combined!
We are all told to blog. That it will help grow our business. But if you’re like most, you’re probably thinking, where do I find the time?
This weeks tech tip is a simple hack I use to help me create articles. For many people, typing or writing, can cause writers block, or feels like an overwhelming chore.
That’s where this back comes into play: Use the talk to text function on your smart phone.
We all have thoughts about our business running through our heads. We all have great ideas, we can easily talk about. So why not talk to your smartphone about it?
Open up your favorite note taking app. Instead of typing you will be talking.
On the iPhone and Android devices there is a small microphone next to the space bar. Tap that and start talking. It will instantly be converted to text. (As long as you’re connected to the Internet – via wifi or LTE/4G it will work.) Be careful sometimes there are limits on how long you can talk before you have to click the button again. Make sure to look at your phone while talking to make sure it is typing.
Once you’ve finished go back through what was typed and add any punctuation, fix any grammatical errors, and correct spelling as needed.
Here are a few tips to help you:
- Speak slowly and clearly
- You can speak in punctuation. Saying “period”at the end of a thought should add in “.”
- Don’t get discouraged if the text isn’t exact. You can always go back and fix it.
