9 Things You Need to do Differently in 2015

After being in business for three years, fighting through the ups and downs and watching or guiding other businesses through the technology mess, there are several nuggets of wisom I want to share with you.   1. Not every new technology is good technology. Companies are really good about marketing the next thing that will simplify your life. Honestly, it isn’t always worth jumping into the newest technology. Just because Microsoft comes out with a new version of windows, doesn’t mean you should jump on it. Or just because Apple released the newest iPhone doesn’t mean you have to buy it the day it hits the market.  Take your time, watch what this new technology is doing. See how others like it and don’t purchase it until you know for sure it’s what you and your business need. 2. Social media works, if you approach it properly. The truth is not many business owners have the amount of time needed in order to get the full impact of an active social media presence. If you have the means, outsource your social media activity to a professional. If not, make sure you get enough training and allow enough time to manage your online presence. 3. Email marketing is not dead. So many times I hear from people they don’t want to do email marketing because no one reads it anymore. Well I disagree.
